About This Tour
Climb to one of the most iconic viewpoints in the Galapagos! 🌋📸
Bartolomé Island is home to Pinnacle Rock — one of the most photographed landscapes in the entire archipelago. This full-day adventure from Santa Cruz takes you to a volcanic wonderland.
Climb the 372-step wooden staircase to reach the panoramic summit, where you'll be rewarded with a jaw-dropping 360° view of the surrounding islands, lava fields, and the iconic pinnacle rising from turquoise waters.
After the hike, cool off with world-class snorkeling at Golden Bay. Swim with white-tip sharks, rays, and marine turtles. Keep your eyes peeled for the rare Galapagos penguin — one of the smallest penguin species on Earth.
What Will We Do on This Adventure?

Ascent to the Panoramic Viewpoint
We will climb a wooden staircase of 372 steps to reach the island's summit, where we will enjoy the most famous view in the Galapagos: Pinnacle Rock and the islands of Santiago and Rábida in the background.

Galapagos Penguin Sighting
During the panga ride or snorkeling, we will look for the Galapagos penguin (Spheniscus mendiculus), the only penguin species living north of the equator.

Snorkeling at Golden Bay
We will dive into crystal-clear waters at the base of Pinnacle Rock to swim with white-tip reef sharks, rays, sea turtles, and a wide variety of reef fish.

Volcanic Landscape Exploration
We will walk along trails where we will observe pioneer plants such as the lava cactus, the only ones capable of surviving in this environment of ash and pure volcanic rock.
