Booking Terms & Conditions
Please review our cancellation policy before confirming your reservation.
1. Cancellation Policy
20+ days before tour date
Full refund of 100% of the amount paid.
Between 14 and 20 days before
50% refund of the total amount paid.
Less than 14 days or no-show
No refund will be issued under any circumstances.
2. Boat Cancellations (Force Majeure at Sea)
If the boat is unable to depart for any reason (weather at sea, mechanical issues, port authority restrictions, or any other cause beyond our control), Eco Challenger Galápagos will offer you:
Option A
Reschedule to the next available date
at no additional cost.
Option B
Full 100% refund
if the new date does not work for you.
This is the only circumstance in which a full refund is guaranteed regardless of notice period.
3. Traveler Responsibility — Arrival to the Island
Once your booking is confirmed, it is the sole responsibility of the traveler to arrive on the island at least one day before the scheduled tour departure.
Morning tours: you must be on the island the evening before.
Afternoon tours: you must be on the island by the morning of the tour.
Eco Challenger Galápagos is not responsible for and will not issue refunds due to:
- Flight delays or cancellations
- Inter-island ferry cancellations
- Inter-island flight (avioneta) cancellations
- Natural disasters preventing travel
- Weather conditions preventing your arrival to the island
- Any third-party transportation failure
The islands of Galápagos have limited and weather-dependent access. This is a known condition of travel to this destination. Planning your arrival one day in advance is strongly recommended and is your responsibility as the traveler.
4. Emergency Resale Program
We understand that unexpected situations happen. In cases where a refund cannot be issued, Eco Challenger Galápagos will make every effort to resell your spot through last-minute offers and our traveler network, in order to recover part or all of your payment.
Please note:
- This is a goodwill effort, not a guarantee.
- Your spot has already been paid to the boat operator and is outside of our direct control.
- If your spot is successfully resold, we will refund the recovered amount to you.
- Eco Challenger Galápagos is not liable if the spot cannot be resold.
We genuinely care about every traveler and will do everything in our power to help. But we ask for your understanding that once a booking is confirmed, the financial commitment to the boat has already been made on your behalf.
5. How to Request a Cancellation
All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing via WhatsApp or email to:
The cancellation date will be the date on which Eco Challenger Galápagos confirms receipt of your written request.
By completing your booking, you confirm that you have read, understood and accepted these Terms & Conditions in full.
