Our Story
Eco Challenger Galapagos is a local tour agency based in San Cristóbal, with partnerships in Isabela and Santa Cruz. We were born from a deep love for these islands and a commitment to sharing their magic responsibly.
Our mission is simple: offer unique, low ecological impact experiences that let travelers truly connect with the incredible nature of the Galapagos Islands — while supporting local communities and conservation efforts.
Every tour is guided by certified bilingual naturalist guides who bring the islands to life with their knowledge, passion, and respect for wildlife. We believe that responsible tourism can be the greatest force for conservation.
Meet the Team
Fabricio Chauca "Shinoby"
Director of Naturalist Guides & CEO
From a family of settlers in the Galapagos Islands, Fabricio is a certified Naturalist Guide of the Galapagos National Park. He has held positions such as President of the San Cristóbal Guides Association and has been a spokesperson for island conservation for many years. A true reference on the island, he is dedicated to educating current and new generations about ecosystem preservation. He is also one of the main promoters of the island's Ocean Scout group. Fabricio leads the brand's identity and values with his heart and expertise.
Martha Mancheno
General Manager & Operations Leader
Martha is an Ecuadorian who has been living in the Galapagos Islands for over 10 years. Together with Fabricio, they fulfilled one of their dreams: taking the island's tourism to the next level — more professional and, above all, with greater awareness of nature. She oversees all operations and her mission is to ensure your experience is as complete as possible, taking care of every detail of your adventure in the Galapagos Islands.

Chief Strategy Officer
The architect of what's new. He lives at the intersection of creativity and results. His role is to connect the dots no one else sees, introducing products, services and processes that break the mold. Alongside Fabricio and Martha, he leads change, inspires the team to innovate, and ensures our brand never stands still.

We proudly partner with Scout Oceánicos Galápagos, an environmental education program for local youth in the Galapagos. Through this partnership, we teach the next generation about marine conservation, sustainable practices, and the importance of protecting our unique ecosystem.
