Tintoreras islet
It is a small rocky islet, which remains in its natural state and additionally has a small group of sea lions, marine iguanas and birds that stay on the rocks to rest.
This place is called like this because there is a lava fissure that has water and where white tip sharks, known as “blue sharks”, go to rest when the water is calm. They can be easily seen in the mornings and evenings.
On the vertical walls of the fissures and the small turquoise lagoon inside there are several baby marine iguanas that warm themselves in the morning sun.
Snorkel Tintoreras
There is a bay that communicates with some shallow water cracks. Here there are many white tip sharks, here you can snorkel with the sharks.
These sharks wait at the bottom of the crevices for fish to eat.
They are not dangerous to humans. However, it takes some courage to get into the water and swim a few meters above these sharks that are up to 1.60 meters in size.
